Cooperation E/D/E - Sanistaal
Starting from early 2006, E/D/E is cooperating with the leading Danish Wholesaler Sanistaal. The agreement has been made amongst others, in order to prepare the requirements to cover the Danish market as well as the Baltic states with Format tools. E/D/E could acquire the important Sanistaal-Group, who disposes the necessary know-how, to serve approx. 25 percent of the toolmarket. Sanistaal, located in Aalborg, Northern Jutland disposes in Denmark of 42 locations in total.
Excellent precision landing 2005 with 2-digit growth
Though still looking difficult after the 3rd quarter of 2005, the Einkaufsbüro Deutscher Eisenhändler, E/D/E, was successful in the end, thanks to improved results in the last months: the ambitious target figures in turnover and earnings were fully achieved. Turnover increased by 307 million euros to 3,193 billion euros, cash flow by 1.5 million euros to 21.8 million euros. On this basis, we were able to realise the anticipated increase of the equity capital by 13.4 million euros to 136.5 million euros. With 32 percent, the equity capital share was maintained. Also reimbursements to our members reached an all time high in 2005. They were raised by 10.1 million euros to a total of 88.5 million euros, thus strengthening the profit position of the associated wholesalers in a difficult economic situation.
75 Years E/D/E - Jubilee member supplier meeting in Leipzig
For their Jubilee member-supplier meeting on the 19th and 20th of September Wuppertaler Einkaufsbüro Deutscher Eisenhändler selected themselves a really special trade fair city. For the first time the meeting will be held in Leipzig, one of the oldest trade fair cities in the world. “The new and modern fairground was opened in 1996 and it has a first class infrastructure with one of the best traffic connections. Tradition and modern is what you can find in Leipzig. That is the reason why it matches so well with E/D/E”, explains Hans-Jürgen Adorf, the chairman of the E/D/E management, for the decision, to not let it take place in Cologne, what usually the case is, but therefore in another city.
Delivery-documents now available in foreign languages
Since mid-february delivery-notes, invoices, credit-notes and cancellation documents are printed in Englisch and French language. The dutch language will follow later this year. "Our member companies in England and France were not able to properly read invoices and delivery-notes, as they were only available in the german language", notes Christian Pfeffer, Division Manager Europe.
