The PRO.ELEMENT group of runners met up in Berlin for the eighth time to take part in this year’s half marathon. 22 runners from the member and supplier companies of the PRO.ELEMENT specialist group took part this year. “All runners crossed the finish line safe and sound,” says Frank Brandenburg, Head of the Construction division at E/D/E. The participants of the PRO.ELEMENT specialist group were supported by the E/D/E contract suppliers Velux Deutschland GmbH and Mosel Türen Vertriebs GmbH – among other things, there were uniform running shirts. In good weather and cheered on by around 300,000 spectators, all PRO.ELEMENT runners mastered the 21.1-kilometer circuit with times between 1:44 and 2:35 hours. Markus Maur, an employee in the E/D/E construction elements department, represented E/D/E as a runner at the major sporting event: “This was my second time taking part and I’m glad that my training over the last few weeks has paid off.”
The anticipation for next year is already evident: “The half marathon is one of the highlights of the year and a fixed date in our calendar,” says Martin Molecki from Mosel Türen. “I particularly like the really friendly relationship in the group.” Christian Schweckhorst from Novoferm Vertriebs GmbH shares this view and thanks for the excellent organization and the very interesting supporting program.
