E/D/E technical trade specialist group: “The Poet” goes digital
For years, “Der Dichter” has been an indispensable reference work for many trading companies and users on all questions relating to sealing technology.
Now, for the first time, the comprehensive compendium is also available online as a microsite – and members of the E/D/E technical trade specialist group can link it directly to their own homepage.
Wuppertal – Around 250 pages of concentrated specialist knowledge from the field of sealing technology – the guide appeared for the first time in 2013 and was aimed at industry and trade.
“Hardly any other area of technical trade is as complex and requires as much advice as the field of sealing technology. Specialist knowledge and experience are required here in order to be able to advise customers individually on the best possible solutions,” explains Ingo Schredle, Managing Director of Hormuth GmbH Technischer Industriebedarf (Heidelberg).
He was the person in the technical trade specialist group who came up with the idea and also gave “The Poet” its name.
Comprehensive online encyclopaedia, larger target group
As part of the online implementation, all the content of “Der Dichter” was reviewed, updated and expanded.
“With the scope of content and the technical depth that we offer under the claim ‘Technik kommt an’, a comprehensive online encyclopaedia has been created,” explains Martin Schmitz, Sales Manager Technical Trade at E/D/E.
This creates sustainable added value for both distributors and their customers.
“We are happy to explain to interested distributors the possibilities and requirements for integrating the site into their own homepage,” says Andreas Schäfer, Team Leader Technical Trade at E/D/E.
The aim of the first pilot users is to be able to address even larger customer groups online and provide them with specialist information.
The microsite is closely linked to the online presence of the respective trading company so that contact can be made at any time.
Always up-to-date expertise and quality advice
The new microsite presents the various product elements in detail in the relevant product ranges.
This includes information on areas of application, standards, approvals and guidelines as well as product-related technical data.
A technical glossary, helpful tables and further information round off the online compendium.
Another advantage of the digital version: updates and extensions can be implemented at any time.
The content is maintained by the E/D/E technical trade specialist area, without any additional work for distributors.
