‘Family and Friends’ is the name of the employee referral programme at E/D/E Group, in which not only the participating employees regularly benefit from a bonus, but also charitable organizations in the region. This time, the Kinder- und Jugendfarm Wuppertal was delighted to receive a donation of 5,000 euros.
The principle of ‘Family and Friends’ is simple and particularly effective in times of a shortage of skilled workers: employees recommend E/D/E Group as an employer to their acquaintances, friends or family members. If the recruited team members are successfully hired, the employees receive a bonus as a thank you and E/D/E supports a charitable organization in the region.
As part of the employee referral program, this time E/D/E supported an inclusive farm with 5,000 euros.
The facility enables children and young people to learn the basics of social behavior through the caring treatment of animals and nature, to take over responsibility and to actively help shape the farm.
“We selected the donation purpose together with the colleagues who took part in the Family and Friends program. We are proud to be able to support an important social and sustainable initiative in Wuppertal and are delighted with our new team members,” reports Guido Adler, Team Leader Recruiting and Employer Branding.
Ferrets, ponies, goats, donkeys and much more
On 2 July 2025, the participants of the Family and Friends program visited the farm and handed over the donation. “The children and young people find a second home here. They look after the animals, grow vegetables, fruit and herbs and help with all the work that needs to be done on our farm. At the same time, they learn a lot about nature, how to treat it with respect and can contribute creatively with their ideas,” explains Katharina Wintersieg, 1st Chairwoman of the association.
