ESH EURO STAHL-Handel relies on the power of the network and actively seeks proximity to its partners. The fact that this approach is appreciated by steel distributors in E/D/E was also clearly evident at the ESH regional meetings following the successful get-together on the fringes of the wire and TUBE trade fair duo in Düsseldorf. Authorized Representative Jürgen Laukandt and Team Leader Andreas von Helden welcomed more than 60 decision-makers from member companies to the five meetings in Hamburg, Magdeburg, Wuppertal, Stuttgart and Nuremberg.
“The positive response proves that personal encounters are desirable. They strengthen trust and our cooperation,” explains Jürgen Laukandt. The energy crisis and its impact on the steel trade was an obvious topic. Andreas von Helden summarizes the mood: “Declines in demand are clearly noticeable and the forecasts for next year are rather negative, but most distributors will close 2022 with a positive result due to the strengthening first half of the year.”
After the forced Corona break, the ESH will continue the traditional format of the ESH FORUM next year. After the E/D/E steel distributors and supply partners were last guests in Berlin at the end of 2019, the XV FORUM will now take place in Munich. The exact date will be announced later. [daf]
