Industry get-together special 2019 in Nuremberg

There are no limits to ideas

The industry get-together special 2019 will take place on 10. and September 11 in Nuremberg. Around 130 suppliers and 110 member companies from the building hardware and sanitary and heating industry are expected to attend. The platform offers exchange and networking.

When the doors of Hall 7A at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center open again, E/D/E will once again offer the largest trading venue for the building hardware and sanitary and heating sector. The format is a proven interface between E/D/E members and suppliers. Nowhere else in the industry do so many decision-makers, including numerous entrepreneurs and owners, come together over two days to drive their joint business forward.

Communication is everything

In addition to negotiations, conditions and deals, this exchange between retailers and manufacturers is primarily about the latest trends and issues in the respective sectors: How can innovations be marketed profitably? How can new contacts be created and existing ones developed? How can the partnership between retailers and manufacturers be intensified? These questions will also be answered this year. There are no limits to ideas.

Torsten Pirdzun, E/D/E Head of Business Process Management, and Michael Gasper, Head of Strategy Implementation at E/D/E, will be available as contacts for EVOLUTION. They will also provide information on the current status of the reorganization and the current results of the program to improve performance in day-to-day business. E/D/E’s newly formed business division Digital Services will also be present at the industry get-together. There, the E/D/E experts will present the service offerings “ERP from the cloud”, “PIM as a service”, “EDI Clearing Center”, the online store system ” Multishop ” and the electronic data center (eDC).

In addition, E/D/E cooperation partner GWS will introduce itself at the industry get-together and present its industry solutions for merchandise management systems and possible interfaces. Representatives from E/D/E Logistik, EDE International, Toolineo, the Marketing business division, ETRIS BANK and PVH FUTURE LAB will also be on site and will hold numerous discussions.

Fittings in transition

The E/D/E specialist area of fittings will deal with the major changes in the construction industry, which are triggered by factors such as market consolidation and labor shortages. Some retailers are already responding by transforming themselves from pure retailers to service providers. The E/D/E fittings specialists want to discuss these topics with members and suppliers on site.

Individual discussions and keynote speeches will also be held to discuss the opportunities offered by digital interfaces and how added value can be created through services. The background to this is the increasing demand from tradespeople for digital integration into retailers’ processes. The OSD tradesman software, which E/D/E offers alongside the ORGADATA and PinnCalc tradesman software, is presented as a solution. Frank Brandenburg, E/D/E Business Unit Manager Construction, and the team led by Guido Siewers, Team Leader Fittings, will be on hand to answer questions on the subject of data and the progress of the eDC industry solution fittings.

Building technology relies on own brands

Private labels are becoming increasingly important in the industry – a statement that is also supported by WUPPER-RING, which is why this year’s industry get-together special is being held under the motto of private labels. Numerous new products from the sanitary, heating and installation sectors await visitors in the building services lounge. These include the new FORMAT Pro and Design accessories, FORtech waste water pumps and tub sealing tapes as well as heating and domestic hot water pumps. To this end, WUPPER-RING will once again be offering its dealers exclusive industry meeting offers.

Other topics that will certainly be the subject of discussion in the building technology sector are competitive pressure, concentration processes and direct marketing on the part of manufacturers. The building services specialists led by division manager Georg Wolf will be available to discuss this. The focus on key suppliers in all product groups and the new marketing activities of WUPPER-RING will also play a role in this. E/D/E Haustechnik will present these marketing activities and associated advertising materials in its lounge.

Direct customer delivery to building technology dealers is particularly popular with installation companies operating nationwide – another topic that is currently driving the HVAC sector. For this reason, the E/D/E building technology specialists, together with E/D/E Logistik, will be available to discuss topics such as direct delivery and innovative packaging solutions at the industry get-together.

Uwe Zarrath, Managing Director of eDC Haustechnik-Daten GmbH & Co. KG, and authorized signatory Sven Müller will answer questions about eDC in the field of building services. The current focus in this area is primarily on the maintenance and qualitative expansion of the data features, so that additional information has been included that is relevant for the connection to the store systems. At the end of January, the total database still comprised 1.8 million articles with 11 million features. At the end of August, there were 1.9 million articles with 15.4 million features – which implies a 40 percent increase in features.

As at the Branchentreff total 2018, the entire building services sector consisting of EHH, WUPPER-RING, mah and eDC Haustechnik-Daten will be appearing together at the Branchentreff spezial in Nuremberg.
