The 42nd WUPPER-RING General Assembly took place in Hamburg on June 13.
The WUPPER-RING members’ meeting takes place every two years. This June, the meeting took place in Hamburg, where the 30 or so members from the SHK not only had an exciting supporting program to look forward to.
The main focus of the meeting was on the strategic direction of WUPPER-RING and the FORMAT brand in the coming years. Professor Dr. Kaapke (Kaapke Projekte) provided an important impetus in this regard with his lecture “Strategies for the trade in times of change: Strong together in the HVAC trade”.
Stefanie Giesel, Team Leader of the business division building services: “The presentation was not only about showing the participants the opportunities of digital change, but also about highlighting the advantages of the buying association in this context and in general. This was very well received by our members.”
In addition to economic aspects and challenges for the HVAC sector, the presentation focused on digitalization and the need to adapt to changing market conditions. Buying associations offer a wide range of services that support member companies in maintaining their competitiveness and consolidating their market position. A central goal is to optimize profitability, which is achieved through various measures. Pooling resources, sharing data and collective negotiating power offer significant advantages that an individual company is often unable to achieve
Lutz Schade, lawyer and specialist lawyer for tax law, then spoke on the topic of “Emergency plan for Managing Directors”.
The meeting concluded with the report of the WUPPER-RING Advisory Board and the election of Michael Braun, from Braun Ehingen, as a new member of the Advisory Board.
A special program awaited the participants to get them in the mood for the joint event on the day before the general meeting: After a city cruise in an amphibious vehicle, the WUPPER-RING members visited the Elbphilharmonie concert hall and the St. Pauli Bunker, two well-known Hamburg landmarks. The evening was rounded off with dinner together in the traditional Fischereihafen restaurant – an ideal opportunity to exchange ideas and network in a relaxed atmosphere.
