On On November 19 and 20, the UNION Sales Group once again hosted the UNION Sales Forum. More than 300 guests from the membership and 53 exhibitors (industry partners) met at the Luftschiffhangar in Mühlheim an der Ruhr to discuss new products and the latest developments and trends at sector.
Mühlheim an der Ruhr – The sales forum, which takes place every two years, has long since established itself as a fixture in the UNION circle and has even been expanded by a few more exhibitors this year: “We have responded to the request of members to make the sales forum even more comprehensive and attractive,” explains Markus Bielefeld, Team Leader UNION at E/D/E.
The UNION sales group is an association of over 100 trading company within E/D/E and consists of members from the product areas tools, factory equipment and power tools. At the group’s most important event this year, the new catalog editions ‘UNION tools’ and ‘UNION factory equipment’ provided an ideal basis for the presentation and training of new products at this sales forum. The industry partners presented their new catalogs and latest innovations, while UNION members was able to take away valuable sales arguments and impulses for their day-to-day work in sales.
In addition to the presentation of new products, the main focus was on personal exchange. “For our members and industry partners, the UNION Sales Forum is a central platform for exchanging information, always focused on the Group’s main product ranges and with a proven focus on developments and market trends in our sector. Business is still done between people and this is where we come together,” says Markus Bielefeld.
Mood at sector
The generally tense economic situation in many industrial and trade sectors, also influenced by global economic and political events, created a great need for exchange between the representatives of sector. The overwhelming opinion of the event guests was that creativity and a willingness to innovate are more important than ever. Product ranges with a ‘problem-solver mentality’ and with functionally clever features and added value and the possibility of supplying and equipping new trades such as photovoltaics or electromobility are just some of the forward-looking trends at sector, according to the participants.
E/D/E presented the trademark Forum in the area of tools and factory equipment on its exhibition space. For the first time, the area was also supplemented by the specialist areas personal protective equipment with trademark Fortis, workwear and PPE protective equipment, as well as technical products from trademark e-coll for the chemical-technical product ranges. Also in the E/D/E exhibition portfolio: the exhibition stand of the supply networks.
