What are your expectations of the industry get-together?
Michael Hensel, Managing Director at DORMAKABA Deutschland GmbH: “Our expectation is that we will be able to hold many intensive discussions in a very short space of time. This would not be possible without the industry get-together. In addition to the appointments during the day, the evening events are also relevant. That’s where the real networking takes place.”
Michael Muhl, Regional Director Sales & Marketing Central Europe at SIMONSWERK GMBH: “SIMONSWERK has actively participated in the industry get-together for many years. We always look forward to this format and use it to get in touch with as many business partners as possible in a short space of time. The current market situation is not the best. Companies from industry and trade are experiencing declining sales. We show our customers how we can support them in overcoming the situation with ideas and new products.”
What are the topics that concern you at the industry get-together?
Nicolas-David Bremicker, Head of Sales at ABUS KG: “It’s no secret that the situation in building fittings is currently tense. At ABUS, we are affected to some extent, but are nevertheless grateful for the way the year has gone so far. We also see opportunities to grow together with our distributors in many product segments.”
Alexander Gögel, Sales Manager at FISCHER Deutschland GmbH: “An important topic is private house construction, which is currently weakening. But the municipal construction and industrial construction sectors, which continue to be at full strength, are also relevant. So we are looking at a highly varied picture. It is therefore always important to know which developments are coming when and what we need to prepare for. The insights we gather at the industry get-together help us to assess the situation and also experience the customers’ perspective.”
Why is the event so suitable for networking?
Nicolas-David Bremicker, Head of Sales at ABUS KG: “We can effectively exchange ideas with many top partners here. This year, too, we are holding almost 50 talks. In two days, we develop a feel for the market, provide impetus ourselves and discuss new products and developments.“
Alexander Gögel, Sales Manager at FISCHER Deutschland GmbH: “The speed meeting character means you’re constantly on the move. Even outside of the meetings, you meet colleagues with whom you can have a quick chat. You also keep bumping into each other in the catering area.”
What do you think of the new venue?
Bernd Blümmers, Sales Manager Product Sales at DORMAKABA Deutschland GmbH: “After Nuremberg and Leipzig, Cologne is now a good choice. We like the loft character of the old parcel center. New life has been breathed into the building – which also has a nice sustainability factor.“
Michael Muhl, Regional Director Sales & Marketing Central Europe at SIMONSWERK GMBH: “In the early days, the industry meeting was held regularly in Cologne. I know and appreciate the location and have therefore always wanted the event to return to this city. Now I’m absolutely delighted that it will actually take place in Cologne in 2023.”
