Customers demand that the goods they order are delivered as quickly as possible and to a wide variety of locations. That is why we are constantly improving the supply chain for our members. The aim is to reduce your storage and logistics costs and provide the best service for your customers.
At the heart of this is our electronic Logistics Centre (eLC) with access to over 500,000 items and over 350 million euros in warehouse turnover per year. More than 115,000 items are available immediately from over 73,000 square meters of warehouse space with 98 percent availability. Continuous expansion will further increase capacity here – to over 150,000 items.
We send up to 10,000 parcels a day from our eLC logistics center to 31 European countries, which equates to around 1.7 million parcels a year. We deliver to our members’ warehouses within 24 hours or directly to the end customer (48 hours within Europe). Single-item picking, two-man delivery and last-minute ordering are examples of many other strong logistics services.
Our building services warehouse offers access to 120,000 items, 5,000 of which are directly in stock – we even send ceramic products by parcel post.
The hazardous goods warehouse with 6,000 pallet spaces and the automated small parts warehouse, which processes up to 1,500 order items per hour, round off the strong logistics offering. In this way, we make a significant contribution to reducing our members’ process and storage costs and to their customers’ satisfaction.
The technical highlight of the tried-and-tested eLC is the high-performance automated small parts warehouse (AKL), which offers storage capacity for up to 71,500 containers across twelve aisles.
The E/D/E packaging machine improves the efficiency of our logistics, measures the necessary package sizes and thus saves packaging material, increases delivery reliability
and prevents transport damage. An important contribution to end customer satisfaction.
